This service is intended for office and school-site personnel that may have an unexpected language barrier that requires immediate interpreting services over the phone. It is also intended for pre-planned short meetings with a parent that could be conducted over the phone instead of with an on-site interpreter.In order to obtain services, simply call us at 213-241-5843 and provide us with the following information:
  • Your name
  • School or office you are calling from
  • Language desired
  • Topic of call
  • Name of the non-English speaking individual that needs the services
When contacting us, make sure the non-English speaker is either already at your site or on the line via phone conferencing. The Translations Unit will not make third-party phone calls.
